Microwave Leakage Testing
It is important to regularly check for possible leakage from Microwave Ovens in the workplace. Not only can excessive leakage be a problem for staff, it can be of particular danger to expectant mothers.
Lack of cleanliness and poor maintenance of door seals can lead to leakage levels in excess of the recommended limit. Testing of the unit involves measurement of the radiation levels around the oven using microwave detection instrument to ensure compliance with the regulations laid down in BS5175.
